Road Safety Week 1st to 7th January, 2009.
Safe Kids Foundation joined hands with the Mumbai Traffic Police to observe the Week

Banners with road safety messages were displayed at key locations in the city during the Week.
The National Television telecast a live panel discussion on road safety.
On the Spot Drawing cum slogan competition for children were organized at Traffic Parks at Ghatkopar and Cooperage. Over 700 children participated in the competitions
Picture story writing competition on road safety was organized. 123 school children participated in this competition.
Youth with their risk taking attitude becomes the potential victims of road accidents. To get the involvement of the youth in road safety, a Poster competition was organised on the theme " Make Road Safer." Entries were invited from the Fine Art Colleges of Mumbai. 148 entries from colleges were received. To view click here

Role of Safe Kids Foundation in the Road Safety Week 2008.
Safe Kids Foundation organized two competitions for children
I. Competition on Road Safety Exhibits
Children prepared exhibits on "Road Safety". These exhibits include models,charts and posters.received from various schools.These exhibits were displayed on the final day of the rally of Road Safety Patrol, where Shri R.R.Patil, Hon.Dy.Chief Minister of State of Maharashtra was the chief guest.
2.Essay Competition
An essay competition on Road Safety was organised on 5th January, 2008 at the Traffic Police Headquarters, Mumbai. Children from various schools participated in the competition.

Safe Kids Foundation also participated in the Road Safety Patrol rally by displaying banners with road safety messages. "Drive to care! Not to dare!" was the theme for 2008. Road Safety Patrol cadets participated in the rally.
Poster developed by Safe Kids Foundation were displayed in various schools, police stations, and other prominent places.
Our evaluation of the tests held in Mumbai during the academic year June2009-May2010 shows an improvement in the understanding of our concept by 23%.
