Photography project results in safer roadways
On April 7, 2010 a small event was organised at Sir J.J.Schools,Mumbai to mark the unveiling of Photovoice Phase II .The chief guest Mr.S M Sayyad,Asst Commissioner of police(traffic) and Guest of Honor, Mr Samuel Thomas, managing director operations(west and south)FedEx Express and the other dignitaries were welcomed by school children by waving of Safe Kids flags.Mr.Mahendra Mehta, founder trustee, SKF, welcomed the guests and stressed the need for creating safer environments for children whenever they are on roads.Prior to the event a drawing competition was held for children of Std.V to VIII.About 940 children participated.The best entries were awarded prizes during this event. Ms. Rupa Kothari, trustee SKF led the Chief Guest Mr. S M Sayyad, Mr. Samuel Thomas, other dignitaries and teachers, parents, volunteers from FedEx, children to unveil the signage.Everyone crossed the road on Zebra Crossing.
